Why I Paint Joy: The Case for Celebrating the Little Moments

Why I Paint Joy: The Case for Celebrating the Little Moments

The world is chaotic. It’s noisy and overwhelming. And it's not going to slow down anytime soon.

There’s so much I can’t control, but I’ve realized I can control my mindset. I can control how I choose to see the world. And that shift changes everything.

That’s why I started focusing on the daily glimmers: having breakfast with my kids, taking that first sip of coffee in the morning, going to bed early, or hearing my favorite song on the radio (it’s always better when it plays on the radio). These are the small wins. And when we slow down to appreciate them - really celebrate them - they become big. They become joy.

My art exists to elevate these everyday moments. It’s bright, bold, playful, and full of heart. It reminds us that happiness isn’t something we chase. It’s something we notice. Something we choose to see.

Feel-good art isn’t about ignoring the chaos. It’s about choosing joy anyway
